180-smiles-trip

November – December  2015

Backpacks ready, the adventure starts – we are off to South East Asia; we will visit Vietnam and Laos where alongside taking in the sights, we will identify local projects in schools, community or health centres which are working to improve the lives of the local people to support with a portion of the funds you’ve helped us raise.

In spite of a growing tourism industry, Cambodia is still one of the poorest countries in South East Asia.  1/3 of its population does not have access to safe drinking water and 2/3 can’t access to adequate sanitation. More than 10,000 children die from diarrhea every year.

December – January 2015

The next stop is India where we are planning to start in Mumbai we intend to witness Smile Train‘s amazing work which has already provided free cleft surgeries to more than 370,000 people.  We will donate 25% of the total raised to ensure more children can have their smiles restored. We will end our time in India with the Golden Triangle (Delhi, Agra & Jaipur).

February 2016

After 3 months in South East Asia, we will head to South America. Starting in Bogota (Colombia) we will contribute to good causes we find en route.

March 2016

Lima (Perú), we will visit the local charity Help them Hope that enables young people to return to education or training following illness or disability. We will contribute to their great work by donation 25% of all the funds you help us raise.

April 2016

Bolivia, one of the poorest countries in South America will be our next port of call, followed by Argentine. We will end our 180 day tour in Brazil, a growing but desperately unequal country where rich are poor live side by side. We will focus our efforts on small projects where we can make a direct impact in people’s lives allocating 25% of all your contributions and raising our final few smiles.
